Ukrainian anti-corruption bureau detains senior SBU and police officials in Operation Carthage
Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau and Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office say a criminal organization linked senior law-enforcement officials to drug trafficking, fraudulent call centers, counterfeit goods and violence. On 4 November, NABU detained SBU General Serhii Duka and three other key participants during more than 70 searches. VAKS subsequently placed Duka, police official Volodymyr Tsenov and other suspects under restrictive measures.
